Incremental backup is the process of creating a backup of all the files changed since last full, incremental, or differential data backup. These types of backup take least time to create a backup as only those files are included which have been changed since the most recent backup. Another major advantage of incremental backup is that it requires minimum storage space to save the data. While incremental backup provides lots of benefits, a major disadvantage of this kind of backup is increased restoration time. This happens because when you restore from an incremental backup, you need to have the most recent full backup and every incremental backup that you have created since the last full backup. For creating a systematic incremental backup, you will need to use advanced data backup software.
Stellar InstaBackup Gold 2.0 is a powerful and easy to use application that is embedded with an option to create incremental backup of the data stored on hard drive. The read only application automatically selects the files and stores them in the backup image file. Built with highly graphical user-interface, the software is designed for Windows Vista and XP. Below are the three guidelines to create an incremental backup by using Stellar InstaBackup Gold 2.0:
Before creating an incremental backup, you need to create a full backup.
When prompted, you need to provide the full backup image and all subsequent incremental backup images.
All the backup images must be stored in the same folder.
Note: If you specify the first image file created after incremental backup process for restoration then no other image file is required.
Stellar InstaBackup Gold 2.0 provides you an option to create an incremental backup on your preferred location. The software also provides you a preview of all the files that you have included in the backup image file. Embedded with advanced features like hard drive cloning, disk imaging, task scheduler, and more, the software becomes a necessary buy for every home user and IT professional.
